The shooting of season 2 of The Pitt started

Season 2 of The Pitt will be released in January 2026

The intrigue will take place on the day of the American national holiday of July 4.

It is one of the best series of the year 2025 and the rest is already on the way.

The Pitt is in season 2 shooting at the moment. And creator John Wells has just confirmed that this season 2 The medical series will be launched on HBO Max on Thursday, January 8, 2026, exactly one year after the very first episode on the Plaetet.

“We are coming back precisely on the same day as season 1. January 8. 365 days later. And, with all the respect I have for my friends, there is no reason for these series not coming out every year. The delays become all the more visible now since the series supply decreases. Before, it was so saturated that we could almost use it as an excuse.” Tells Wells at the Hollywood Reporter.

For the time being, HBO Max is content to confirm that season 2 will arrive “in a similar window” to that of the first, without formalizing the date on the calendar.

In the meantime, John Wells has raised a corner of the veil on the suite, revealing that the series provides important jumps over time between the seasons.

The medical series will operate in time to launch season 2, which will take place several months after the first and above all, the day of the American national holiday. This is announcing a day in charge of Pittsburgh’s emergency room:

“As every season takes place over a day, we could imagine doing Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, etc. but we’re not going to do that. We’re going to jump over time. Fall in season 1, we will go to July 4 in season 2. The start of the year of residence normally begins on July 1, so everyone will have progressed, and new interns will arrive.”

Among the new faces, Sepideh Moafi (The L Word: Generation Q) joins the series as regular. She will play a new emergency doctor, even if her character is still mysterious. Lawrence Robinson (Sistas) will also be in the game, in a recurring role: that of Brian Hancock, a charming and benevolent patient who “transforms a football injury into love at first sight with one of the doctors”.
