The new Robin of Woods against Ned Stark in a new trailer
Sean Bean will be the terrible Sheriff of Nottingham in this umpteenth adaptation to the appearance of Game of Thrones.
There will soon be a new Robin of the woods on our screens, and we discover a little more what it will look like in this unprecedented trailer of the MGM+ series (to see below), which puts Sean Bean in the costume of the nasty Sheriff of Nottingham, which will sow terror within the Kingdom.
Small wink in this video to the fans of Game of Thrones: the series will obviously begin with the abusive death sentence of the hero’s father, executed in public place before his helpless offspring. Ironically: this time, Sean Bean will ask for his head … or the revenge of Ned Stark, 15 years later!
Modern rereading of legend, the series promises a certain medieval realism. The intrigue takes place in Norman post-invasion England. Rob, son of a Saxon forest, and Marian, daughter of a Norman lord, fall in love and unite to fight injustice. While Rob heads a band of outlaws, Marian infiltrates the circles of power in order to thwart royal corruption and bring peace to the kingdom.
It is the young first Jack Patten (in his first big role) who will have the heavy charge of bringing Robin to life on the screen, succeeding Kevin Costner, Russell Crowe or Taron Egerton. Lauren McQueen (Hollyoaks) will be Marianne. And Connie Nielsen (Gladiator) will be Aliénor d’Aquitaine.
The series is supervised by John Glenn (Hatfields & McCcoys, Seal Team), Showrunner, screenwriter and executive producer, accompanied by Jonathan English (also in realization) and Todd Lieberman.
The first two episodes will be available on Sunday November 2 on MGM+, followed each week from a new episode until December 28, the date of the final of this first season.
