The new Sam Raimi sends Rachel McAdams and Dylan O’Brien to a desert island: trailer

The director of Evil Dead is back with a psychological thriller that promises a lot.

Four years later Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madnesshere is once again one of the masters of horrific suspense.

Sam Raimi unveils his new film, Send Helpa psychological thriller tinged with the most grating black humor, faithful to its taste for chaos and exhilarating tension. The film, produced by 20th Century Studios, stars Rachel McAdams (Spotlight) and Dylan O’Brien (The Labyrinth, Teen Wolf) on a desert island! The trailer (see below) shows us an office worker being morally harassed at work by her disgusting young boss. But when their plane crashes during a business trip, the roles are reversed for the two survivors. The synopsis details:

“The only survivors of a plane crash, Linda Liddle and Bradley Preston now find themselves stranded on a desert island. For these two colleagues who are opposites, the time has come to overcome past grievances and work together to try to get out. Except that in the end the battle for survival becomes a test of strength, disturbing and cruelly funny, where everyone wants to play the best game…”,

Sam Raimi sums up the spirit of the film: “I’ve always loved stories where colorful characters are pushed to their limits. In Send Help, the balance of power constantly evolves, creating tension that builds to the point of explosion, between unexpected twists and pure suspense.”

The two stars will be essentially alone in the film, which also stars Edyl Ismail (La Brea), Dennis Haysbert (24 hours flat), Xavier Samuel (Elvis), Chris Pang (Crazy Rich Asians), Thaneth Warakulnukroh (Rescue from the Impossible) and Emma Raimi (Bratz).

Written by Damian Shannon and Mark Swift (Friday the 13th), Send Help will be released in cinemas on January 28, 2026 in France.
