The Old Guard 3: Is the suite planned by Netflix?

Director Victoria Mahoney already announces that she will not stack. But…

The guard dies but does not go!

Charlize Theron Will she give reason to General Cambronne? While The Old Guard 2 has just been released on Netflix, not that third opus is born.

The director of the first two parts, Victoria Mahoneyexplains already in The Direct that it will be without it:

“I am not in this time. I do not participate in discussions on a sequel. The time that this film demanded moves me from other projects. And now, I am contractually committed to several of them, for the next six or seven years.”

Effectively, The Old Guard 2 had a Long and trying gestationweighed down by 2023 strikes in Hollywood and many development delays. “There have been so many factors: writing time, approval of the scenario, the logistics of filming … In practice, a multitude of elements need to make a film exist and bring it to the public.”

Mahoney therefore does not want to stack and will not be involved in a possible Old Guard 3.

Despite everything, the filmmaker is confident for the rest: “Someone else will take over in a great way. I don’t know what they will do, but I’m sure it will be fun, respectful of the public and carefully. I can’t wait to discover that.”

For the moment, Netflix did not formalize a third film. Audiences for viewing of the first days of The Old Guard 2 will weigh heavily in the scale because the first criticisms are catastrophic.
