The star of my little reindeer is back with a new series
After his phenomenon on Netflix, Richard Gadd is back with Half Man.
After the shock wave my little reindeer, in 2023, Richard Gadd was expected at the turn.
Two years after having marked the spirits, the British author-actor returns with Half Man, ambitious dramatic fresco in six episodes produced by HBO and the BBC, expected for 2026, in France on the HBO Max platform.
We will follow the cross destinies of Ruben (interpreted by Gadd himself) and Niall (Jamie Bell). Two distant “brothers” whose face-to-face is literally exploded when Ruben invites himself to the marriage of Niall. A confrontation which acts as a detonation and returns us forty years back, from the 1980s to today. Mitchell Robertson and Stuart Campbell will play the duo in their youth, while the series will unroll the story of a fractured relationship, between camaraderie, grudges and injuries that are impossible to close.
Good moments, arguments, laughter and black anger: Half Man promises to be a dive as intimate as brutal in what makes (or defeated) a fraternal link.
Created, written and produced by Richard Gadd, the series will be staged by Alexandra Brodski and Eshref Reybrouck. Around the Gadd/Bell duo, we will find Neve McIntosh, Marianne McIOR, Bilal Hasna, Philippine Velge or Amy Manson.
