Toxic Town: Netflix denounces a series of series contamination (trailer)

THE Corby poisoningsit is one of the biggest environmental cases in the United Kingdom. In the 1980s, this city undertook the dismantling of its steelworks, which led to poor management of toxic waste. Following this, many case of malformations appeared among newborns in the region.

Netflix is inspired by this terrible story of negligence for a next time British mini-seriescreated by the screenwriter Jack Thorne (This is England, Harry Potter and the cursed child). Toxic Town tells the fight of several mothers faced with congenital malformations in their children.

Two of them, embodied by Jodie Whittaker (13th incarnation of Doctor Who) And Aimee Lou Wood (Sex Education), meet at maternity. The duo gradually realizes that they are not the only mothers whose children are “abnormal”. A long fight will follow with the local authorities to denounce the interference. In 2009, the court finally recognized the responsibility of the Corby Municipal Council.

Brendan Coyle (Downton Abbey), Robert Carlyle (Trainspotting), Rory Kinnear (James Bond), Joe Dempsie (Skins), Michael Socha (Once Upon a Time) and Claudia Jessie (The Chronicle of Bridgerton) Complete the casting. The series is produced by Minkie Spiroknown for his work on Better Call Saul And Downton Abbey.
