After the time of judgment, the rest of the Conjuring saga will take place in series

If there should not be a conjuring 5 in the cinema, Warner Bros. Already prepare the rest of the franchise, with a television variation for the Warren.

Since 2013, Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga have embodied the famous paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren, facing the worst supernatural forces. But their latest investigation has just ended: Conjuring: The time for judgment is released today in French rooms and already a hit at the world box office, with more than $ 194 million harvested.

So, end clap? Not quite. If there will be no conjuring 5 in the cinema – a priori – Warner Bros. found another playground to extend terror: a derivative series is in preparation for its HBO Max platform. According to Variety, Nancy Won (producer of the Jessica Jones series) will pilot the project as a screenwriter, executive producer and showrunner. She will be supported by Peter Cameron (Wandavision) and Cameron Squires (American Horror Story), both attached to writing.

The project had been mentioned for the first time in 2023. If the plot remains secret, the series will directly extend the universe initiated by the films, always under the supervision of producer Peter Safran and the company Atomic Monster by James Wan.

If it is difficult to see Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga return, we can easily imagine that the series will be either a spin-off on other investigators, or a prequel, which will tell the young years of the Warren, with a new couple of actors.

Recall that, beyond its four main films, the Conjuring franchise gave birth to two spin-offs to the cinema: Annabelle (three films) and La Nun (two films). To date, the entire saga has brought in nearly $ 2.5 billion worldwide.
