The end of Fast & Furious will be released in 2028, and it will be called Fast Forever!
Universal sets the date for the last part of the saga. And Vin Diesel promises a finale as a “legacy”, saluting the memory of Paul Walker.

Vin Diesel and Universal have just made the release date of the next episode of the saga official Fast & Furiouswhich will a priori be the last. This Fast & Furious 11 has long been planned as the final installment of the “family’s” motorized adventures. And the title which has just been revealed goes in this direction: the film will be called Fast Forever !
Incidentally, Universal reveals that the theatrical release is set for March 17, 2028.
The information was also relayed by Diesel, star and producer of the franchise, via Instagram (above).
For the occasion, the actor published a photo of himself alongside the late Paul Walker, taken from the very first film, The Fast and the Furious (2001). In the caption, a message inevitably loaded with emotion: “No one said the road would be easy… but it is ours. The one that defined us and became our legacy… And a legacy… lasts forever.”
It took a long time to come to fruition due to a budget that was too heavy for the studio to assume, Fast 11 will therefore see the light of day. The fans can breathe. Dom Toretto’s story will have an end.
Behind the scenes, the studio had nevertheless anticipated: even before the release of Fast XUniversal had already secured the return of French director Louis Leterrier. It should be noted that he had signed Fast X presented at the time as the first part of the final diptych, understand the final opus of the saga cut into two parts. Fans have been champing at the bit since May 2023 and can breathe easy today. Fast Forever will arrive in 2028, even if it will be the longest interval between two films since the launch of the franchise.
The screenplay is co-written by Christina Hodson (The Flash, Bumblebee) and Oren Uziel (The Lost City, 22 Jump Street). The casting has yet to be confirmed, but in addition to Vin Diesel, Jordana Brewster and the usual gang, we should see Jason Statham return and also Jason Momoa and even Dwayne Johnson.
In 25 years, Fast & Furious grossed $7.3 billion at the worldwide box office. The record for Universal.
