Netflix and Skydance unveil “body swap” animated film: trailer

Michael B. Jordan headlines a Jumpers-style animated feature film.

After Jumpersthe animated film produced by Pixar, which featured human beings slipping into the skin of animals, here is Crossed adventureswhich narrates the adventures of animals who swap bodies! A body swap movie – genre made famous by Freaky Friday – in the jungle.

The creatures of a forest spend their time confronting each other, until the day when the body of a small rodent is transferred into that of a sumptuous bird… These two animals that are completely opposites then embark on a quest full of twists and turns to try to regain their respective appearances. Along the way they will create an unexpected bond. A confusing adventure forcing them to relearn how to live together and overcome their differences. With them, the entire forest will be transformed.

The actor, who has just been awarded the Oscar for best actor for SinnersMichael B. Jordan, lends his voice to the main character, Ollie, alongside actress Juno Temple (Killer Joe, Horns) who will blend into the skin of Ivy, the magnificent bird.

Directed by Nathan Greno, one of the two directors of Rapunzel, Crossed adventures is produced by Skydance animation headed by John Lasseter, the creator of Toy Story.

The film, which was initially planned for release on Apple TV, was finally picked up by Netflix following a new agreement signed with Skydance Animation.

Synopsis: “A small woodland animal and a majestic bird, two sworn enemies of La Vallée, are about to experience the adventure of a lifetime.

Crossed adventures will be released on May 1st on Netflix in France. Watch the trailer below:
