Alien: Earth season 2 will begin filming this summer in London
After months of speculation, the sequel is finally becoming clearer. Filming will begin in the coming weeks.
Almost a year after the broadcast of season 1, we finally have news about the sequel.
Filming on Season 2 of Alien: Earth is set to begin shortly in London, ending uncertainty over the production schedule, which had already slipped from an initial scheduled window in May.
It was actor Adarsh Gourav, who plays Slightly, who confirmed the information during an interview with CineBuster. He indicated that he would fly to London this week, before filming begins shortly after and which should therefore take place during the summer.
“I will leave for international filming the first week of June, and we will start filming shortly after,” he said, also evoking a rise in ambition for this new season:
“There is a huge sense of anticipation around this season, where the storytelling becomes even more ambitious.”
The actor was also delighted to find a cast including Peter Dinklage and Timothy Olyphant, highlighting a particularly stimulating work dynamic.
This change in production also marks an important geographical shift: season 1 was filmed in Thailand, while this new burst of episodes will be based at Pinewood Studios, the historic site of the Alien saga.
No broadcast date has yet been announced for this season 2, which will be broadcast in France on Disney +. With filming just beginning, a release before mid to late 2027 now seems the most likely projection.
