Tom Cruise went to see Disclosure Day in the cinema and he loved the new Spielberg
Accompanied by Colin Farrell and Dakota Fanning, the Top Gun star treated himself to a little session this week.
Tom Cruise couldn’t miss the meeting. While Disclosure Daythe new science fiction film by Steven Spielberg, is a hit in theaters, the star of Mission: Impossible went to a public screening of the film with several longtime friends. And obviously, he loved it.
On social networks, the actor shared his enthusiasm after the session. “Nothing better than a Spielberg evening in summer in a packed room with friends!“, he wrote, before paying tribute to the filmmaker.
“Steven, thank you for all the hours of happiness you gave us at the cinema. It has been a tremendous honor and pleasure to work with you and to be able to call you my friend.“
And as for the film itself, Cruise’s verdict is clear:
“We all loved Disclosure Day!”

For this cinema outing, the actor was accompanied by two particularly symbolic former partners: Colin Farrell and Dakota Fanning. Both co-starred with Cruise in two of the actor’s most famous collaborations with Spielberg.
In 2002, Cruise and Farrell starred alongside each other in Minority Reporta science fiction thriller that has become a modern classic. Three years later, Cruise reunited with Spielberg to War of the Worldswhere Dakota Fanning played his daughter. The two films had enormous worldwide success, with respectively more than 358 and 600 million dollars in revenue.
This outing between friends is a reminder of how strong the relationship between Cruise and Spielberg has remained over the years. Even though they haven’t collaborated together since War of the Worldsthe two men continue to publicly display their mutual admiration.
Disclosure Day is currently in theaters.
