American Horror Story Season 13 All Stars Trailer

The Shards just finished on Disney+ and Monsters: The Lizzie Borden Story will arrive in a few days on Netflix. But Ryan Murphy isn’t done with his witches.

The creator is preparing the big return of American Horror Story with a particularly ambitious season 13.

For this new salvo, Murphy decided to bring together several of the most emblematic faces of the series. Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters are notably back for this All Stars season.

Lange will reprise his previous four characters, while Peters will play five different ones and Paulson no less than six. Jessica Lange has not appeared on the series since Freak Show, more than ten years ago. Peters and Paulson were last seen in Double Feature.

Other former American Horror Story stars will also be back. Angela Bassett will reprise her role as Marie Laveau, who appeared in Apocalypse, Emma Roberts will reunite with Madison Montgomery, also introduced in Apocalypse, while Jamie Brewer will return as Adelaide Langdon, a character from the very first season, Murder House.

New faces also join the cast, including Paul Anthony Kelly, revealed in Love Story, Pink Flamingos director John Waters, Avantika Vandanapu, seen in Mean Girls, Joey Pollari and model Alex Consani.

Since its debut in 2011 with Murder House, American Horror Story has been based on an anthology principle: each season tells a new story, with its own characters, monsters and massacres, while regularly bringing back the same actors under new identities. And this season 13 will push the concept even further. “Some will play two characters from two different seasons in the same scene,” explained Ryan Murphy to Variety. “Evan (Peters), at one point, was playing two different characters and talking to himself. It was really fun and complicated to do.”

Season 13 of American Horror Story premieres September 24 on FX and Hulu in the USA. No French release date yet. It will be seen on Disney+.
