Two years after carrying out both parts of Three musketeers,, Martin Bourboulon reappeared with producer Dimitri Rassam and Pathé for his next long -awaited film: 13 days, 13 nights. Adapted from the eponymous novel of Commander Mohamed Bida (at Editions Denoël), embodied on the screen by Roschdy Zemhistory focuses on the evacuation of Afghan civilians and French diplomats by the French police and army During the fall of Kabul in August 2021. Here is the detailed synopsis:
“Kabul, August 15, 2021. While the American troops are preparing to leave the territory, the Taliban storm the capital and grab power. In the midst of chaos, commander Mohamed Bida and his men ensure the security of the French Embassy, still open. Taken, Commander Bida decides to negotiate with the Taliban to organize a last chance. A young Franco-Afghane humanitarian. Then begins a race against the watch to drive the evacuated to the airport and flee the hell of Kabul before it is too late ”.
