A new Jackass movie is coming to theaters this summer
Johnny Knoxville still has the sacred fire. And he announces it on the networks.
Even a bull-induced brain hemorrhage and broken ribs can’t stop Johnny Knoxville.
Paramount Pictures has confirmed to Variety than a brand new movie jackass will be released in theaters on June 26 (American release date, French date remains to be determined).
Knoxville had already left the mystery hanging on Instagram, suggesting that the franchise would return this summer, without specifying that it was indeed jackass 5 and not a re-release of an old film. The post was jointly published by Knoxville, the official account jackass and Gorilla Flicks, the production company founded by Jeff Tremaine. He writes:
“‘Well a wang dang and hot damn doodle, we’re starting the year with a bang. We wanted to tell you that this summer Jackass is back!! See you at the cinema on June 26. More info soon, but we wanted you to hear it directly from us!'”
This new film arrives four years later Jackass Foreverwhere Knoxville was charged by a raging bull, Danger Ehren found himself covered in honey facing a black bear and Steve-O was… attacked by bees. The fourth installment brought together most of the aging former stuntmen and pranksters from jackasswhile welcoming new faces like Zach Holmes, Sean “Poopies” McInerney, Jasper Dolphin, Eric Manaka and Rachel Wolfson.
For now, the full cast of jackass 5 has not been revealed.
