Netflix unveils its Lionesses: trailer for the French series that roars
A heist thriller carried by a very exciting cast, from Rebecca Marder to Jonathan Cohen.
This will be one of the events of the month of February on Netflix: the new French series Les Lionnes arrives to devour everything.
Created by Olivier Rosemberg – a former member of Family Business – and Carine Prévot, this French thriller will feature 5 women united by hardship and determined to get out of it by robbing a bank… disguised as men! The trailer promises a biting and hyper-paced thriller (see below).
The Lionesses will be played by Rebecca Marder, Zoé Marchal, Naidra Ayadi, Pascale Arbillot and Tya Deslauriers.
Around them, we will find in supporting roles Jonathan Cohen in the role of the bank director, but also François Damiens, as well as Sami Outalbali and Steve Tientcheu, on their heels.
The synopsis details: “Five women unite to get out of trouble and rob a bank, disguised as men. A shot of adrenaline and 36,280 euros later, these amateur robbers are forced to start again. Very quickly, the politicians, the police and the thugs set out after them, far from imagining that behind this group of mercenaries are ordinary women… The Lionesses are born.”
Released February 5 on Netflix.
