A new One Piece anime announced by Netflix

You watch One Piece in animation for 25 years? We will soon have to start everything from scratch! Following the success of the live action series, Netflix announces that it will once again adapt the iconic manga by Eiichirō Oda, in a new Japanese animated series.

Titled The One Piece“this series will be the opportunity to return to East Blue” announced Netflix this Sunday, specifying that WIT Studio, the artists behind the best seasons of The attack of the Titans (season 1 to 3) will be produced.

In the press release from the production committee of The One Piece – made up of representatives from Shueisha, Fuji Television Network and Toei Animation Co. – we are told that The One Piece “will be distinct from the animated television series, the one which has been running since 1999 and which already has more than 1000 episodes. They promise “an experience that is both fresh and familiar, using cutting-edge visual technology to reimagine Luffy’s adventures.”

A first teaser video shows that The One Piece is currently in production. No release date yet.
