A terrifying first trailer for Slayground, the new A24 horror film

A24 has just revealed the first images of Slaygroundthe new film by Jeremy Saulnier, director of Murder Party, Green Room And Rebel Ridge. And the studio plays the terror card to the fullest…
Formerly titled Octoberthis horror thriller takes place around a haunted attraction, in the middle of Halloween. Cory Michael Smith (Gotham) plays the main suspect in an investigation into mass murders. After escaping from police custody, he flees to try to prove his innocence, while a gigantic manhunt begins on his trail.
But the first teaser tells almost none of that. A24 prefers to lock us into the attraction, through a succession of video surveillance images. Visitors scream, run in the corridors and are surprised by the monsters in the setting.
Except that, little by little, something is wrong: the fear seems to become much too real. The images become more violent, the threats more disturbing and the screams, frankly, less amusing.
In the cast, Cory Michael Smith stars alongside Chase Sui Wonders, Sophie Wilde, Young Mazino, Imogen Poots, James Badge Dale, Matty Matheson and Stephen Root, currently starring in Widow’s Bay.
A24 simply announces a release this fall. The promotional site Run Like Helllaunched with the teaser, displays a countdown which must end on October 20. No French date yet.
