Aang reveals himself on the poster for the Netflix series Avatar: The Last Airbender
A new live action adaptation coming in 2024.
After revealing a first teaser, Netflix has posted the official poster for its live action adaptation ofAvatar: The Last Airbender, taken from the famous Nickelodeon cartoon. No broadcast date yet, but we know that it will be seen in 2024 on the platform. It will concretely be a total remake of the film by M. Night Shyamalan (2010).
Aang will be played by Gordon Cormier while Tamlyn Tomita will play Yukari. Finally, the former of Lost, Daniel Dae Kim, will play the villainous Lord Ozai of the Fire Tribe.

The synopsis: “Set in a war-torn Asian world, where certain people can manipulate one of the four classic elements: water, earth, fire or air. Aang is the “Avatar”, the only one capable of mastering all the elements. He is destined to bring peace to this world from the Fire Nation. With his new companions Katara and Sokka, Aang sets out to master the elements while being pursued by the exiled Fire Nation prince, Zuko, who seeks to regain his honor by capturing the Avatar.”
Albert Kim (Sleepy Hollow, Nikita) is the showrunner. Alongside him, Rideback’s Dan Lin (The LEGO Movie, Aladdin) and Lindsey Liberatore (Walker) executive produce, as does Michael Goi (Swamp Thing, American Horror Story).
Series Avatar is directed by Jabbar Raisani and Jet Wilkinson.
