After Prada 2, Anne Hathaway already unveils her new film: trailer

Amazon MGM unveils trailer for Veritya new thriller adapted from the best-seller by Colleen Hoover, author who became a hit machine on the big screen, with adaptations of Never Again – It Ends With Us ($350 million in 2024), Regretting You (90 million in 2025) and Reminders of Him (88 million in 2026).

So glamorous are the fashion shows with Mery Streep, in VerityHathaway will play Verity Crawford, a star novelist who is mysteriously unable to finish her latest book after an accident. She hires Lowen Ashleigh (played by Dakota Johnson), a struggling author, to finalize the manuscript for her. But very quickly, the work turns into an obsession… and a nightmare. Lowen discovers a disturbing unfinished text that calls Verity’s sanity into question. Between the isolated house, the family secrets and the glances that slip, the thriller gradually shifts into something much more unhealthy.

The cast is rounded out by Josh Hartnett. The trailer sets the tone: troubled romance, sexual tension, manipulation… until a final shot where Lowen understands that she may not be safe at all.

Amazon MGM continues its very clear strategy here: adapting Colleen Hoover’s novels after three successive successes which have established a real demand for these melodramas/thrillers very centered on female characters.

Verity is expected in theaters on October 2 in American theaters and September 30, 2026 in France in cinemas.
