After being the victim of Veronica Marsthe bride of Mamma Mia! or the cosette of Miserable,, Amanda Seyfried turns into philadelphia cop. The actress will be the star of The Disappeared River (Long Bright River), new criminal series which will be projected in preview at the Séries Mania festival next month. She will even be in official competition.

Created by Nikki Toscano (The Offer, Hunters), this dark series – adapted from the book of Liz Moore (published in 2021) – will speak of a serial killer who murder prostitutes in the streets of Philadelphia, will also bring together in the casting Nicholas Pinnock And Ashleigh cummings.

The Disappeared River will be broadcast on Max in France from March 27, 2025.

The synopsis details: “Mickey patrols in a district of Philadelphia harshly affected by the opiate crisis. When a series of murders begins in the neighborhood, Mickey realizes that his personal history could be linked to the case. “
