A large French historical and culinary series, to be seen on Apple TV+.

In the brilliant Dodin puffy (2023), we often heard about Antonin Carême, a benchmark for French cooks for many years, one of the very first to become a real recognized chief.

His story will be told by Martin Bourboulon. The director of The three musketeers: d’Artagnan has staged this new big historical production, with Benjamin neighbor in the title role and Lyna Khoudri (who played Constance in The three musketeers) in that of his beloved. Jérémie Renier will also be in the casting, as these first photos reveal.

“Antonin Carême is the first chief in the world to know glory and to become, after a modest beginnings in Paris, master of culinary art at the beginning of the 19th century. While he is carried by a single goal, to become the most Famous leader in the world, his talent and his ambitions attract the attention of politicians as renowned as it is powerful who will make him a spy at the service of France. Inspired by the book Cooking for Kings: The Life of Antonin Carême – The First Celebrity Chef of the author and actor Ian Kelly, Lent is a series created by Ian Kelly and Davide Serino. The series was shot in Paris and its surroundings.

The first two episodes of Lent will be available on Apple TV+ on April 30, 2025, followed by an episode each week until Wednesday, June 11, 2025.
