The director of Gravity And Harry Potter: Prisoner of Azkaban goes to the small screen. Alfonso Cuarón signed its first series, Disclaimer, for Apple TV+. It is a psychological thriller in seven chapters, carried by Cate Blanchett And Kevin Kline the date and first image of which we discover today.
Written and directed by Alfonso Cuarónit will be the adaptation of the eponymous novel by Renée Knight.
The pitch: “Catherine Ravenscroft (Cate Blanchett) is a renowned journalist known for highlighting the misdeeds and transgressions of others. When she receives a novel in the mail from an anonymous author, she realizes with horror that she is now the main character in a story that exposes his darkest secrets. As Catherine struggles to discover the true identity of the novel’s author, she is forced to confront her past before it destroys her life and affects her husband Robert and their son Nicholas..”
The cast also brings together Sacha Baron Cohen, Lesley Manville, Kodi Smit-McPhee, and Louis Partridge.
Disclaimer will unveil its first two episodes on Friday October 11, 2024, followed by a new episode every week, until November 15, on Apple TV+ and also on Canal + in France.
