David Boreanaz: “I could do Bones again today”
The Angel and Buffy alum was in Monte Carlo this weekend. And he took the opportunity to speak to Première’s microphone.
An emblematic figure of the small screen of the last three decades, David Boreanaz completes this year the broadcast of Seal Team. Season 7, which has just finished filming, will be the last. Currently in post-production, it will be broadcast this fall in the United States on Paramount + (no French date). An end to the journey experienced as a relief by David Boreanazthe star of Seal Team.
“I'm delighted to have reached the conclusion, to have reached the end of my character. It was time for the show to end. We had gone through the characters. And then physically, for me, it had become pretty hard” says the 55-year-old actor at the microphone of Première, on the sidelines of the Monte-Carlo TV festival where he is president of the jury for the 63rd edition.
I have to say that David Boreanaz has experienced this before. Of Buffy has Bones Passing by Angel, the actor has experienced a number of series endings. And when asked which one he could take up again today, he answers without hesitation:
“I'm not one for doing alumni reunions or that sort of thing. But as I like to say, if I had to return to one of my old roles, it would definitely be Bones. Because the series had this fairly open ending… Because it's a fun, light series. It's a drama, which paved the way for many other series of the genre later. There are plenty of series that have tried to reproduce that, that alchemy…”
And David Boreanaz adds that he is still close to his classmate Bones, Emily Deschanel:
“We stayed in touch. With other alumni of the series too… I just think it was a really great series.”
For the moment, no revival of Bones was not planned, but the message got through. Watch below:
