Leaving the murderers of Monster, the prolific designer is now interested in the great love stories of America in a new collection entitled Love Story.

The series will explore the start of their “intense love story and their marriage in the spotlight, tracing the journey of one of the most emblematic couples of the 20th century” writes Disney Plus, which will broadcast the series in France. “John F. Kennedy Jr. was the closest thing to an American prince. The country watched him grow from little boy to beloved bachelor and media phenomenon. Carolyn Bessette, for her part, shone on her own merit. Fiercely independent and blessed with a unique style, she rose from saleswoman to executive at Calvin Klein, becoming a close confidante of the brand’s founder. The connection between John and Carolyn was immediate, electric, undeniable. But as their story unfolded love affair was unfolding before the public eye, the intense fame and media attention that accompanied it threatened to tear them apart…”

John F. Kennedy Jr. will be played by Paul Anthony Kelly, largely unknown to the general public. Carolyn Bessette will be played by Sarah Pidgeon, recently seen in the remake of Remember… Last Summer.

Grace Gummer (Caroline Kennedy), Naomi Watts (Jackie Kennedy Onassis), Alessandro Nivola (Calvin Klein), Leila George (Kelly Klein), Sydney Lemmon (Lauren Bessette) and Constance Zimmer (Ann Marie Messina) complete the cast.

Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette, in 9 episodes, will be launched on February 13 on Disney+. The first three episodes of the series will be available at launch, then a new episode will be available every Friday.
