Dune 3: Timothée Chalamet shares a new photo from filming

Return to Arrakis for the Franco-American actor.

Timothée Chalamet revealed a new image taken on the set of Dune 3.

Also known as Dune: Part Threethis third part of the saga initiated in 2021 will mark the direct continuation of Dune: Part Two released in 2024. Still directed by Denis Villeneuve (Arrival, Blade Runner 2049), the film will see Timothée Chalamet reprise his role as Paul Atréides.

Shared as a story on Instagram, the photo shows a vast expanse of desert immediately reminiscent of the mythical landscapes of the planet Arrakis. Nothing concrete on the plot, but enough to immerse fans back into the dry and mystical universe of the saga.

Inspired by the novel The Messiah of Dune by Frank Herbert, published in 1969, Dune 3 will bring together an impressive cast: Zendaya (Chani), Florence Pugh (Princess Irulan), Jason Momoa (Duncan Idaho), Josh Brolin (Gurney Halleck), Rebecca Ferguson (Lady Jessica), Nakoa-Wolf Momoa (Leto II Atreides) and Ida Brooke (Ghanima Atreides), among others.

Released in France on December 16, 2026, distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures.
