Next March 13 will be released The Kings of the trackof Thierry Klifa. A comedy about family, lighter than his previous productions (A life waiting for you, Everything separates us…), but always carried by a five-star cast.
Mathieu Kassovitz is particularly surprising as a mother’s eldest son. “ambobineuse”, who reluctantly drags his children into a new scheme. Their complex relationships are at the heart of this funny film where “everyone deceives others and vice versa, to the point that guessing who is telling the truth and when turns out to be a totally impossible missionwe wrote in our criticalby discovering it during the Angoulême 2023 festival. Klifa signs a work that is constantly in motion and yet never artificially agitated. He pays the same attention to the writing of incredible situations as to that of his colorful characters, regularly causing moments of trouble and emotion to emerge unexpectedly between two bursts of laughter.”
This rich distribution is the big strong point of the Kings of the trackas we can already see in this trailer. “This is precisely where we measure the love that Klifa has for his actors: in this way of offering them tailor-made roles but where they always reveal something new, we wrote about the performance full of surprises from the different actors. It’s fine, light, joyful and deep at the same time.”
In addition to this trailer revealing the mystery surrounding the disappearance of the youngest son played by Nicolas Duvauchelle, Apollo Films also revealed this poster:
