Filming imminent for the next Avengers: Doomsday

The Russo brothers talk about a calendar.

As they release their new blockbuster at the end of the year, The Electric Stateon Netflix, Joe and Anthony Russo don’t forget them Avengers however. They are already working hard on Avengers: Doomsday and set a filming date.

During an interview with Collider at New York Comic Con, the Russos revealed that filming of the film would begin in the spring of 2025. Which seems entirely consistent since Avengers: Doomsday is due out May 1, 2026.

Note that this will be the return of the Russos to the Marvel Universe, for the first time since Avengers: Endgame in 2019.

At this point, not much is known about the story, which will be in two parts (Avengers: Secret Wars will follow in 2027), both made by the Russos. Stephen McFeely, who previously co-wrote the films Captain America and the last two Avengerswill co-write Doomsday And Secret Wars with the creator of LokiMichael Waldron. Robert Downey Jr. will return to the franchise in the shoes of Dr. Victor Von Doom aka Dr. Doom.
