First image of Jumanji 3, filming has started

Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart and Karen Gillan go on adventure again.

Sony releases the very first photo of Jumanji 3and it confirms what fans were waiting for: the star quartet is indeed back. We find Dwayne Johnson as Dr. Xander “Smolder” Bravestone, Jack Black as Professor Sheldon “Shelly” Oberon, Kevin Hart as Franklin “Mouse” Finbar and Karen Gillan as Ruby Roundhouse. The gang officially dives back into the game.

And that’s not all. Other veterans returning in force: Nick Jonas (Jefferson “Seaplane” McDonough), Danny DeVito (Edward “Eddie” Gilpin), Lamorne Morris, Marin Hinkle, Bebe Neuwirth and Rhys Darby each reprise their roles. New arrivals include Brittany O’Grady, Burn Gorman, Dan Hildebrand and Jack Jewkes.

The teenagers are also coming back: Alex Wolff, Morgan Turner, Ser’Darius Blain, Madison Iseman – and even Awkwafina, expected again in Ming Fleetfoot.

At the helm, again: Jake Kasdan keeps his hand to sign this third part, which he co-wrote with Jeff Pinkner and Scott Rosenberg, after having already reinvented the franchise in 2017 with Welcome to the Junglethen continued in 2019 with The Next Leveltwo boxes worth more than 1.7 billion combined.

Jumanji 3 will be released for Christmas 2026 in cinemas.
