Terry Staceywho worked as cinematographer on the film, explains in Variety that Porsche provided the cars for the film. Once the agreement is concluded, the director Christian Gudegast included the Porsche Taycan Turbo S in the scenario, the ideal car to pull off a heist: stealthy and fast, but also quite small. It still took several vehicles and setups to put the scene together and pull off the action sequence.
“It all started with pre-visualization work which included storyboarding, route scouting and the presence of a bucket car. Stacey explains. “Two of the Porsches were modified to look like go-karts, and we had the stuntman on the roof. The steering wheel, dashboard and even the accelerator were moved to the roof so the stuntman could control the action. O’Shea and Gerard were in the car with the cameraman in the back.”

To film, Stacey used a Sony Rialto with an extension system that allowed the body to be separated from the Sony Venice camera. “This box could be mounted on the ground or on the roof, and the sensor and lens could capture the images while driving and pirouette. Another car had a camera in the front, capturing Butler and Jackson “driving“. He adds: “We didn’t want any CGI and filming in front of a green screen, because there’s a lot of action outside and inside!
The entire sequence took a week to shoot.
