If you miss Ted Lasso, while waiting for season 4, a new sports comedy with a tender heart arrives on Disney Plus.

Glen Powell, Top Gun pilot: Maverick, tornadoes in Twisters and Serial Lover in Anyone But You, will turn into an American football player with a strange head in Chad Powers.

The trailer unveiled by Disney shows Powell in the role of a young quarterback that ruined his career with pride. Blacklist by all the teams, he seems to condemn to change paths. But to continue playing American football, Russ adopts a method at Madame Doubtfire: he groves completely and pretends to be another, the newcomer Chad Powers, who will quickly show all his talents on a field …

The official synopsis details: “When a monumental error ends the university career of the star quarterback Russ Holliday, he disguises himself and joins a southern football team in difficulty under the identity of the talented and endearing Chad Powers.”

The series is co-created by Glen Powell himself who adapts a sketch on Eli Manning produced by NFL Films and Omaha Productions for ESPN+.

We will also see in the casting Perry Mattfeld (Ricky), Quentin Plair (Coach byrd), Wynn Everett (Tricia), Frankie A. Rodriguez (Danny) and Steve Zahn (Jake Hudson).

The series arrives on September 30 on Disney+.
