Glen Powell massacres his family to become The Ultimate Heir: trailer

A new dark and dark comedy from A24.

He struggles with Running Man. Perhaps Glen Powell will have more success with his new black comedy, The Ultimate Heira gritty thriller in which he will play a man ready to kill his entire family to recover billions.

A24 revealed the trailer for the film called How to Make a Kill in original version (note that this is also the American title ofA Bear in the Jura, by Franck Dubosc). We understand from the video that Becket Redfellow (Powell) will try to avenge his mother, abandoned and disinherited by her rich family, by assassinating the 7 members who separate him from an absolute fortune.

Alongside Powell, the cast includes Margaret Qualley, Ed Harris, Jessica Henwick, Zach Woods, Topher Grace, Raff Law and Bill Camp.

Loosely inspired by the film Noblesse oblige (1949) by Robert Hamer, this new version is written and directed by John Patton Ford, winner at Sundance for Emily the Criminal (2022) with Aubrey Plaza.

The synopsis states: “The ugly duckling of a wealthy upstate New York family hatches a murderous plot to regain his birthright and inherit their fortune...”

The Ultimate Heir will be released in cinemas on March 4, 2026 in France. Watch the trailer below:
