Neil Gaiman will be the sole showrunner of season 3, after the departure of Douglas Mackinnon and filming will begin “soon” in Scotland. The co-creator of Good Omens welcomes :
“I’m so happy to finally be able to finish the story that Terry and I started back in 1989. Terry was determined that, if Good Omens was ever adapted for television, so the story should go all the way. The first season was about avoiding Armageddon, dangerous prophecies and the end of the world. Season 2 was sweet, although perhaps it ended less happily than some might have hoped. In season 3, we will once again address the end of the world. Plans for Armageddon go awry. Only Crowley and Aziraphale working together can hope to fix it. Except they don’t talk to each other anymore!
