“He’s holding up”: Rumer gives news of Bruce Willis
The actor’s eldest daughter, who suffers from a neurodegenerative disease, gives an update on her health.
We know that Bruce Willis will never get better.
The 70-year-old actor will never regain his flamboyant charisma from the Die Hard years. But his daughter, Rumer Willis, recently shared a touching update on her father’s health, offering some comfort to fans.
During an Instagram live where she answered questions from Internet users (via The Independent), She explained that, by definition, a person with frontotemporal dementia “never really gets well”but that his father “He’s holding up. He’s managing, considering what such an illness entails.”
The 37-year-old actress, daughter of Demi Moore, added that she remained deeply grateful to be able to continue to visit him regularly and show him her affection.
“I am so happy and grateful to still be able to hold him,” she said. “When I go to see him, whether he recognizes me or not, I know he feels the love I give him. And I feel it in return.”
As a reminder, Bruce Willis announced in 2022 that he was retiring from cinema after being diagnosed with aphasia, a disorder affecting communication skills, before the diagnosis of frontotemporal dementia was subsequently revealed.
