Henry Cavill continues to chase the Quickening!

New images from the filming of the remake of Highlander circulate online. Henry Cavill in action. The videos and photos show the actor on a motorbike, camera on his shoulder, on the streets of London, offering a spectacular first glimpse of the reboot.

Director Chad Stahelski has been filming the project for several weeks, with Cavill playing Connor MacLeod. On-set photos show the actor with blood running down his head before getting on his motorbike. Dave Bautista was also seen in costume as the Kurgan.

The screenplay is by Michael Finch, with Scott Stuber. According to the official synopsis: “Centuries after his first death on a Scottish battlefield, immortal warrior Connor MacLeod lives quietly in the modern world.” The classic rule from the original film is recalled: “There can only be one left!”

On the casting side, the reboot is lining up some very heavy stuff: Russell Crowe should take over the role of the mentor played at the time by Sean Connery.

Karen Gillan, Djimon Hounsou, Marisa Abela and Max Zhang complete the cast.

Highlander should be released in cinemas in 2027. No date yet.
