Just before previewing its new event series to French audiences, AMC has just unveiled the official trailer for The Audacity, a new comedy-drama about Silicon Valley, starring Zach Galifianakis (Very Bad Trip) and Billy Magnussen (The Ridge), from the pen of screenwriter-producer Jonathan Glatzer, known for his work on Better Call Saul and Succession.
“Set in the bubble of Silicon Valley, the series explores the distorted dreams, oversized egos and ethical excesses of the self-proclaimed inventors of the future,” says the official synopsis. Between disillusioned billionaires, psychiatric gurus, tech bros bio-hackers, AI labs and disillusioned teenagers optimized in elite private schools, a daring CEO attempts to turn information and influence into profit and power.
The eight-episode series confronts dark humor and reality about private life, illusions and the constantly changing world.
It will be launched next Sunday April 12 in the USA with an episode each Sunday. We are still waiting to know the French broadcaster.
