Hocus Pocus 3 already has a “brilliant” storyline
The 80-year-old actress hopes that Disney will launch the sequel, before it’s too late…
It’s the season. Halloween is coming, and we’re talking about Hocus Pocus.
Three years after the pleasant sequel, which brought together Bette Midler, Sarah Parker and Kathy Najimy around the cauldron, we do not yet know if the saga will have a sequel.
But Bette Midler convinced her. And the 80-year-old actress even talks about an upcoming shoot for Hocus Pocus 3.
Guest on Watch What Happens Liveshe explained that the producers were still sorting out “all these logistical details” before starting filming. But she also revealed that she had read a first version of the script… and that she found it “brilliant”.
“They sent me the script, and a lot of the parts were brilliant. I was very excited. Now we just have to see where it’s going to go, how much it’s going to cost, all those logistical details.”
Nothing concrete really, for the moment, but Bette Midler wants to believe it:
“I haven’t seen the final script yet, but I’ve heard rumors. If it’s going to happen, we have to do it quickly, because time doesn’t stop. It’s heading straight for the finish line… might as well catch us while we’re still breathing damn it!”
As a reminder, Hocus Pocus (1993) starred Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy as a trio of witches who returned from the 17th century to wreak havoc in Salem. The second film, Hocus Pocus 2had exploded the counters on Disney +, becoming the most watched original film on the platform with 2.7 billion minutes viewed in the first weekend.
Hocus Pocus 3so it will not be for Halloween 2025. But for Halloween 2026?
