Jake Gyllenhaal plays Scooby-Doo again… bloody version!
A particularly funny Saturday Night Live sketch.
After the box of Road House on Prime Video, Jake Gyllenhaal changes register and arrives in the new live version of Scooby Doo. Well, obviously, this is not a new film which will be released in cinemas, but simply a sketch performed on Saturday evening in the American show Saturday Night Live.
We find there Jake Gyllenhaal taking over from Freddy Prinze Jr.. in the shoes of Fred, the leader of the Scooby Gang, who takes his troop to a creepy mansion haunted by a ghost. The story is also called Scooby Doo and the Mystery of the Shadow Phantom. By his side, Sabrina Carpenter plays Daphne, Mikey Day is Sammy and Sarah Sherman becomes Velma.
Their investigation leads them to unmask the supposed ghost, who turns out to be Old Man Franklin, aka James Austin Johnson.
Everything is rolling in the world of Scooby…until the plot takes a surprisingly macabre turn. Fred, suspecting that another character is hiding behind the old man, decides to remove his other mask. Except he doesn't have any and it tears the skin off his face. What follows is a chain of morbid sequences. And in the end, it's Scooby who wins…
