Kevin Spacey ruined by his sexual assault trials
The actor, acquitted in recent months, owes a fortune in legal fees. He had to sell his house and no longer has a fixed address.
It's a Kevin Spacey on the verge of tears, who speaks openly in an interview with Piers Morgan, in which he recounts his financial troubles linked to the sexual assault trials. The Hollywood actor banned from Hollywood says he no longer has a permanent home and has almost no money left. So is he ruined?
“It's funny you ask me this question because this week the place I live in Baltimore is going into foreclosure. My house is being sold at auction so I have to go back to Baltimore and put my stuff in storage” , Spacey confides to Morgan. “So the answer to that question is: I don't know where I'm going to live now. But I've been in Baltimore since we started filming House of Cards there. I moved there in 2012. This (house) has been my home since 2016. Except I can no longer pay the bills I owe.”
“I do want to live… but there were times when I wasn't sure if I would make it.”

On the verge of bankruptcy and on the verge of tears, the oft-accused actor admits: “There were several times when I thought I was going to file a complaint, but we managed to dodge it, at least until today.”
When Pierce Morgan asks him how much money he has left, Kevin Spacey answers : “I don't have any left. Do you have any idea what legal bills cost? I still owe a lot… Yes (I'm in debt). This is considerable. Few millions. The house itself is worth several million.”
The two-time Oscar winner faces various allegations of sexual assault and inappropriate behavior in the wake of the #MeToo movement. Several lawsuits were filed but in 2022, a New York jury found that he did not assault actor Anthony Rapp, who accused him of sexual assault in the early 1980s when Rapp was 14 years. The following year, a British court found Spacey not guilty of nine sexual assault charges stemming from four complainants. Several other charges and prosecutions were dropped. Kevin Spacey has always denied all allegations.
