The new British pop star, Charli XCX, could join the Narnia of Greta Gerwig

The 32 -year -old young star is in the running to embody the white witch.

After the success of Barbie In 2023, Greta Gerwig is currently working on an adaptation of Narnia World from CS Lewis for Netflix. This ambitious project aims to launch a franchise that could count up to eight films. Gerwig should make at least two of these films, but his long -term involvement remains uncertain.

No official announcement concerning the casting has yet been made. However, according to Deadline, the singer Charli XCX would be in talks to play an important role in the first part.

If the discussions are successful, Charli XCX could interpret Once, better known as the White witchthe emblematic antagonist of Narnia, cruel icy sovereign of the magical country, which was embodied by Tilda Swinton In previous films.

The contract has not yet been signed, and Deadline specifies that Charli XCX is one of the candidates main for this role. Discussions have been underway for some time, but nothing is yet official. No information has filtered on other actresses potentially in the running to embody the White witch.

British singer and composer, Charli XCX made himself known thanks to hits like Boom Clap,, Break the Rules And 1999becoming a major figure in pop and electro-pop. Although especially known for her musical career, she has already lent her voice to animated film characters, as The Angry Birds Movie (2016) and Uglydolls (2019).
