What music do we hear in L’Amour ouf? The playlist of Gilles Lellouche's film

L’Amour ouf approaches 4 million admissions at the French box office

Clint Eastwood and Aznavour also attract crowds. Encouraging debut for The Substance.

He still has breath. Love phew of Gilles Lellouche continues to top the French box office. Attendance has certainly dropped a little. But after recording 1 million admissions per week for its first three weeks in theaters, the romance still attracts some 800,000 spectators for its fourth week of release. A real phenomenon, which allows the film to slowly approach 4 million admissions (3.8 million to date) and which has just passed Deadpool & Wolverine in the 2024 ranking. The film will end its run in the top 5 of the biggest hits of the year in France.

Behind, it must be emphasized that Mr Aznavour don’t lose the rhythm. The musical biopic got off to a quiet start, but with still 410,000 admissions in the third week, attendance is holding up. The film carried by Tahar Rahim already has almost 1.5 million spectators in France.

Clint Eastwood is also in good shape. His thriller Juror #2 remains on the French box office podium. The film has already attracted more than 800,000 spectators, its best total since The Mule (2019). Let us remember that Gran Torino (2009) remains Eastwood’s biggest success in France as a director, with 3.4 million spectators.

Venom: The Last Dance falling to fourth place. But the Marvel film has already exceeded one million admissions and has a good chance of doing better here than Venom 2 (1.6 million in 2021), but should have difficulty beating the first part (2.6 million in 2018).

In the rest of the ranking, Louise Violet is at the top of the list of new products. Alexandra Lamyas a teacher, took advantage of numerous previews to display more than 300,000 entries for its launch week. It’s better than The Substance. The event film of Coralie Fargeat displays 200,000 spectators for its first week, but with by far the best average per copy of the week’s releases (it is distributed in only 270 theaters).

Finally, we will note that the very limited event release of Blitzthe Second World War film by Steve McQueenattracted just over 100,000 spectators during its two days and 500 screenings. Not bad for a film that will be released for streaming at the end of the month.
