Les Tuche 5 at the opening of the Alpe d’Huez Festival 2025
The saga led by Jean-Paul Rouve will launch the 28th edition of the event.
Since 1997, Isère has hosted the unmissable event for French comedy: the Alpe d’Huez Festival. Its 28th edition will be held from January 19 to 25, 2025, with Elsa Zylberstein as president of the jury. And we now know which film will have the honor of opening the Festival: Dildo Save the Tuche.
The 5th part of Tuchethe first four parts of which brought together 14 million spectators at the cinema, will arrive in theaters on February 5. And its star, Jean-Paul Rouvewill be behind the camera for the first time, taking over from Olivier Barroux, the official director of the saga. Jeff Tuche is heading to England this time, for a summit meeting with the royal family. Isabelle Nanty, Claire Nadeau, Sarah Stern, Pierre Lottin and Théo Fernandez will return to the cast.
Faithful to its tradition, Alpe d’Huez highlights the plurality of French comedy, which has shown great vitality in 2024 with refreshing successes like Repeat, We, the Leroys, The Coubertin Spirit Or Happy Winnersall in competition last year at the Festival, or the documentary Golo & Ritchie. And like every year, all screenings will be freely accessible to the public (subject to availability).
The jury and the films in competition will be announced by the end of the year. More information on the L’Alpe d’Huez Festival website.
