Mads Mikkelsen announced in new Martin Scorsese film

The Danish actor would join Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence in What Happens at Night.

Almost 5 years after the end of filming Killers of the Flowers MoonMartin Scorsese is finally preparing to return to the sets. During a recent joint interview with Leonardo DiCaprio for Time Magazine, the director and actor announced that they would begin filming their new collaboration, What Happens at Nightnext February.

DiCaprio will share the bill with Jennifer Lawrence in this adaptation of Peter Cameron’s novel. Published in France under the title What happens at nightit tells the story of an American couple who go to a European city full of fog and snow to adopt a child. And another star has just been added to the cast.

According to TheInsneiderMads Mikkelsen joined the adventure. This will be his first film with Scorsese, like JLaw. And the 7th for Leo. The announcement is not yet official, but given the schedule we can imagine that the choice of the Danish actor is validated.

Jordan Ruimy of Wordofreel speculates that Mikkelsen will play the book’s debauched businessman, whom the couple will meet in the “cavernous Borgarfjaroasysla Grand Imperial Hotel, populated by a gallery of enigmatic characters“, describes the synopsis of the novel.
