After A dedicated friend with Laure Calamy and while waiting The meaning of things With Elsa Guedj, a brand new French creation is revealed for Max.
The series Maleditosnew original Max France production, tells a story in the gypsies in the south of France and it reveals its first images.
The synopsis describes: “In the Camargue, the head of a gypsy community and its two sons are fighting to save their clan threatened with expulsion by rising waters. To survive, they will have to cross the limits of legality and fight within a dark and dangerous universe … while hiding the unavowable secret that has haunt their family for 7 years. “
We find in the casting Céline Sallette (Vernon Subutex, the ghosts),, Pablo Cobo (Tropic, Stalk),, Darren Muselet (that’s Paris!, my brother),, Raïka hazanavicius (Léa’s 7 lives),, Damien Bonnard (The miserable),, Jérôme Niel (Lucky Luke) And Valérie Karsenti (Household scenes).
According to Max, Maltidos Immerses in “the fascinating and mysterious universe of the gypsy community, between ancestral traditions, unspeakable secrets and power struggles. This intense story, where ambitions and sacrifices intersect, echoes the Shakespearean tragedies: family conflicts, fate weight and moral dilemmas punctuate this captivating intrigue.”
The series is made up of 7 52-minute episodes, created by Jean-Charles Hue and Olivier Prieur, on the basis of a collaboration with Guillaume Grosse and Laurent Teyssier, written by Jean Charles Hue, Olivier Prieur, Maya Haffar and Dorothée Lachaud.
Maltidos will be released on the Max platform in the spring of 2025. No official date.
