Mark Ruffalo will be in the cast of Spider-Man: Brand New Day

A Avenger historical has just arrived on the set of Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

Abandoning the cozy filming of tortured indie series, Mark Ruffalo was seen on set in the United Kingdom, confirming his presence in the new adventure of the Spider-Man played by Tom Holland.

In the images posted on social networks, the Oscar-winning actor appears briefly lying on a stretcher, in a scene which seems to announce a dramatic moment. Fifteen years after his first appearance in The Avengersthe Bruce Banner/Hulk of the MCU is therefore making his comeback on the big screen. We left it at the end of the series She-Hulk on Disney+, where he revealed he had a son named Skaar.

This isn’t the first time an Avenger has appeared in a film. Spider-Man : Tony Stark/Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) accompanied Peter Parker in Homecoming (2017), followed by Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) in No Way Home (2021).

According to the first rumors, Hulk could this time unleash his wildest side: the “Savage Hulk”, an uncontrollable and destructive version of the character, triggered by an emotional shock linked to She-Hulk and Red Hulk.

Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton (Shang-Chi), Spider-Man: Brand New Day is written by the duo Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, already at work on the previous parts. In addition to Tom Holland, the film will bring together Zendaya (MJ) and Jacob Batalon (Ned), but also Sadie Sink (Stranger Things), Liza Colón-Zayas (The Bear) and Jon Bernthal as the Punisher.

The film will be released in theaters on July 29, 2026 in France.
