Monarch: Apple’s Godzilla series could well have a season 2

The first season of Monarch will end tomorrow on Apple TV+. If the sequel will be to be seen in the cinema with Godzilla X Kongwill there be a season 2?

Showrunner Chris Black remains confident for a television sequel, but he tempers it: “We don’t have an order for season 2 yet. Now I know that season 1 did very well. So we are optimistic and enthusiastic. We think we have more story to tell.”

In short, a season 2 of Monarch is desired and perfectly possible even if this type of fantastic series is very expensive to produce.

Located in the same Monsterverse only films Godzilla (2014), Kong: Skull Island And Godzilla Vs Kong (2021), the series told the origins of the organization Monarch and how she fights against the Kaijus in the present day.
