NCIS will continue, season 22 has been ordered

A nice birthday present for the franchise which is celebrating its 1000th episode in a few days.

While the spin-off series dedicated to Tony and Ziva, as well as the prequel about young Jethro Gibbs, are in development, the saga NCIS don't forget the basis. The original series has just been renewed by the American channel CBS. Concretely, NCIS will return in 2024-25, with its 22nd season!

The announcement comes at a significant moment for the crime franchise, since the 1,000th episode will be broadcast next Monday, April 15 in the USA.

Since the start of the season, NCIS averages 9.71 million total viewers.

In addition, it will be recalled that NCIS: Sydney has been renewed for a season 2. No decision has yet been announced regarding NCIS: Hawaiicurrently in its third season.
