Paddington 4 already in sight for the 70th anniversary of the nice little bear
While Paddington in Peru is not even in theaters yet, StudioCanal announces the sequel for 2028.
After two fantastic films signed Paul Kingwe will follow very soon Paddington in Peru. This third part of the adventures of the bear will be released early next year in France. But StudioCanal has a future plan for its beloved furry character. Paddington 4 and even a series are in the works.
During an appearance at the recent Brand Licensing 2024 Europe convention (via THR), StudioCanal CEO Françoise Guyonnet revealed that the franchise’s continuation was already in development.
“We are working on a new Paddington television series and especially on a fourth film to come in 2027 or 2028.”
No further details at this time. We don’t know, for example, if the series in question will be animated or a mix of live action and animation. Furthermore, 2028 will mark the 70th anniversary of Paddingtoncreated by British writer Michael Bond in 1958.

In Paddington in Peruhe returns to his country of origin, to visit his aunt Lucy, at the House of Retired Bears. Hugh Bonneville And Olivia Colman will be back in the cast.
Cinema release on February 5, 2025 in France.
