Phew! The Three-Body Problem will have a season 2 (and an ending)
Weiss and Benioff announce the good news: the SF saga may well come to an end.
Despite a good little buzz and positive reviews, The Three-Body Problem had a little trouble doing well at the start of the year on Netflix. So much so that the streamer took its time before renewing the great science fiction drama tinged with physics, adapted from the books of Cixin Liu. But this time it's good: The Three-Body Problem will have a season 2.
David Benioff and DB Weiss confirmed the good news on the networks: “We're thrilled to be able to tell this story to its epic conclusion.”, they say. “Ever since we read the final page of Cixin Liu's magnificent trilogy, we hoped we could take the audience with us to the ends of the universe. Here we go !”
3 Body Problem has been renewed!
“We're delighted that we get to tell this story through to its epic conclusion. Ever since we read the last page of Cixin Liu's magnificent trilogy, we hoped we'd be able to bring the audience to the end of the universe with us. Here we go!” —… pic.twitter.com/8pSLJF1gru

Indeed, the Chinese literary saga has three volumes. Which should logically be three seasons. Except that if the press release does mention the end of the series, it does not mention a season 3, but rather tends to suggest that the last two volumes will be compiled in season 2.
No date yet for the rest of the Three-body problem.
