Prime Video’s new Alex Cross is revealed
Aldis Hodge will take over from Morgan Freeman and Tyler Perry in a series version of the famous investigator imagined by James Patterson.
Third incarnation in flesh and blood for Alex Cross. The character from James Patterson’s detective novels will soon be played by Aldis Hodge in a Prime Video series. The actor recently seen in Black Adam (he played Hawkman) will reprise the role made famous by Morgan Freeman In The collector (1997) and The Spider Mask (2001). Alex Cross had been given a new version in the form of Tyler Perry (in 2012) without success. So it is the small screen that will resurrect the investigator, in the fall, as announced by the streaming platform with this poster that reveals the date.

Cross will air on November 14, 2024 on Prime Video.
The show is described as a “A complex, twisted and thrilling thriller. Alex Cross is a detective and forensic psychologist, able to delve into the psyche of killers and their victims in order to identify and capture the murderers.”
AlongsideAldis Hodgethe cast will include Isaiah Mustafa, Juanita Jennings, Alona Tal, Samantha Walkes, Caleb Elijah, Melody Hurd, Jennifer Wigmore, Eloise Mumford and Ryan Eggold.
Created by Ben Watkins, the series Cross is produced by James Patterson. A season 2 has already been ordered.
