Priscilla, by Sofia Coppola, is already criticized by the family of Elvis
Priscilla Presley, on the other hand, is much more enthusiastic.
A24 unveiled yesterday the trailer for Priscilla, the new film by Sofia Coppola, which looks back on the upset fate of Elvis Presley’s wife. This new feature film comes a year after the release ofElvis by Baz Luhrmann, a biopic widely acclaimed by the King’s family, including Priscilla and her daughter Lisa-Marie Presley (who died on January 12), present for the screening of the film at the Cannes Film Festival last year.

A relative of Elvis Presley’s clan, who has reportedly seen the film before, tells TMZ that the film’s direction and script are “horrible”, believing that it “It’s a high school movie, with terrifying settings that don’t look like Graceland at all.”
Priscilla Presley, who signs the autobiography on which the film is based, declares her admiration for Sofia Coppola on Instagram: “I am very excited about the adaptation of my novel by the extraordinary Sofia Coppola. She has incredible vision and I have always admired her work. I am sure that his film will manage to move a lot of people.”
In the film, Priscilla Presley is played by Cailee Spaeny, seen in Pacific Rim: Uprisingwhile Elvis is played by the star ofEuphoria Jacob Elordi. The film currently has no French release date, but should be presented during the 80th edition of the Venice Film Festival this summer.
